The Loop Aix-Marseille project was launched by Guillaume Nicoulaud (Chief Executive Officer), Mathieu Morateur (Chief Operating Officer) and Michele Mossi (Chief Technology Officer). GESTE has also worked on several projects in the field of innovation such as Swissmetro, which launched and created the company, the American hyperloop and autonomous vehicles. GESTE is therefore proud to be able to contribute to this new innovative project which is the Loop Aix-Marseille and to be its industrial partner.
A loop is a meshed network of underground tunnels in which high-speed autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) circulate. The objective is to link Aix-en-Provence to Marseille in 15 minutes, using these AEVs. It would operate without a timetable but with a high frequency of departures. The loop will complete the metropolitan public transport offer by linking the urban networks together and providing access to TGV stations and the airport.
The advantages of this Loop are speed, flexibility and ecology.
